Thank you to all who registered and attended the Webinar, we were pleased to share the progress the RDM Team has made on the development of the Islandora 8 RDM Platform.

Our team joined over 100 attendees at the Islandoracon 2019 Conference in Vancouver, BC. This was the third major conference for the Islandora Community, hosted by Simon Fraser University and Vancouver Library. The UPEI Islandora 8 RDM Development Team was recognized by the Islandora Community for their contributions of Textual Extraction (OCR, PDF), the FITS microservice, and the RIPRAP microservice.

The University of Prince Edward Island is currently developing an Islandora 8 Research Data Management (RDM) Platform that focuses on enhancing Islandora 8 to add features to support the research data lifecycle: planning, deposit, publication, citation, sharing, and preservation.
